Pankaj Tripathi- A Breath of Fresh Air On Screen

Gangs Of Wasseypur Actor Pankaj Tripathi has again surprised everyone with his performance, this time on TV. At present, He is seen in Zee TV Daily Soap Sarojini, Ek Nayi Pahal, as Dushyant Singh,who is a powerful man, a corrupt politician, an ill-mannered landlord and is so evil that even the villagers are petrified of him. He treats the women within his family as puppets by completely dictating their lives.

Talking about Zee TV's sarojini, Pankaj Tripathi told reporters in Lucknow "Sarojini is an interesting story of struggle between two contrasting values and my role is also very interesting"

Masaan Actor,when asked about his decision of coming back to TV, he said "Coming back to TV soap after 5 years, is a big decision and it needed an interesting role with some unexplored shades which i thought character of dushyant singh can provide"

"Since most of my movies have either UA or A certificates like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Masan etc. i strongly felt that doing TV is a good way to showcase your talent and get exposed to a wider base of family audiences sitting at home"

When asked why he is doing negative characters so often, he candidly replied "I can only choose from the roles i am offered and i am mostly offered negative characters"

 "Bollywood mindset is like that, if they have seen you in certain roles, they 
  tend to cast you in similar roles, Industry can't think beyond the last popular   character you have played" Gopalganj,Bihar Born Actor Said.



With a star like Pankaj Tripathi making a comeback, it shows, good content will definitely bring trained actors and stars back on TV Soaps. After watching pankaj perform in "Sarojini".We will all be convinced why Daily Soaps need some good content but more than that great performances.

"His performance is like a breath of fresh air" says 27 year old housewife Neha Kalra from Noida, who is a regular viewer of Sarojini.

Pankaj is also getting rave reviews for his performance in recently released movie Masaan as Sathyaji, Devi's besotted colleague.

Pankaj Tripathi, a NSD Graduate had made his debut in Abhishek Bachchan Starrer "RUN", he has done so many  small but critically acclaimed roles in movies like Apharan, Omkara, Dharam, Aakrosh,Ravan, Agneepath etc. but his real claim to fame was Anurag Kashyap Directed "Gangs Of Wasseypur Series" where he played the role of dangerous shooter Sultan Qureshi. His most awaited film is Ketan Mehta directed "Manjhi-The Mountain Man" which is slated for release on 21st august.
