Kabir Khan directed Phantom box office collections reach to Rs 21.24 cr by day 2

Phantom box office collections: ‘Phantom’, starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif has minted Rs.21.24 crore in just two days of its release. Based on the post-26/11 Mumbai terror attack ‘Phantom’ had opened on an average note but managed to rake in some growth on Saturday.
This Kabir Khan directorial collected Rs.8.46 crore on its opening day.

It witnessed a 51 percent growth on the day of Rakshan Bandhan on Saturday, earning Rs.12.78 crore, taking the total to Rs.21.24 crore.

With no big release alongside, “Phantom” is expected to witness growth over the weekend due to the buzz around the movie.

“Phantom”, which revolves around global terrorism, is an adaptation of the novel “Mumbai Avengers”.

The film harks back to the festering wounds inflicted on India by the 2008 terror attacks on Mumbai and constructs a wishful scenario: each of the perpetrators of that crime is punished by an intrepid agent unleashed by RAW.
