As reported by times of India,Salman Khan had even announced on the show that Ali had bagged director Kabir Khan's latest film. But why didn't we see him in the movie? Ali, who was in Lucknow recently, tells Times of India, "I was offered to play the role of Chand Nawab, which was eventually done by Nawazuddin Siddiqui But then Bigg Boss got extended by a month, and by that time, the film had already gone on floors. Once I came out of the house, Kabir sir offered me other roles in the film, but they weren't that prominent. Salman sir, who I consider my mentor, also then suggested that I work with Kabir in his upcoming projects. Inshallah, that will happen soon."
As per reports,Ali was in Lucknow city on his personal visit, said to be made the most of his short trip to Lucknow. "Initially, I was supposed to be here only for a day, but I extended my trip by a day because I wanted to enjoy the food. I went to Tundey Kebabi with a friend and also gorged on the nihari-kulcha. Before coming here, I was on a liquid diet, and diet break karna ka mazaa Lucknow mein hi hai," smiles Ali as per times of india report.
The singer-actor is also going to shoot his upcoming film in the city next month onwards. "I'm doing a Lucknow-based film, in which I'm playing the role of an encounter specialist. I will be here for almost two months for the shooting of the movie, and have elaborate plans for the same," says Ali to times of India.
