UAE visit was pathbreaking-PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Considers his UAE visit a pathbreaking one.



He shared it on his google plus post.

"The UAE visit was pathbreaking. Got the opportunity to engage with UAE's top leadership, meet investors & interact with Indian community. India-UAE ties are set to grow at a historic pace. We discovered new areas to cooperate & I invited investors to see the changes in India."

He also thanked Indian diaspora for their grand welcome. he shared his feelings "Electrifying is an understatement to describe the atmosphere at the Dubai Cricket Ground. A big thank you!" 

Earlier on 17th August,Modi also thanked UAE for its support to India for permanent membership of the country in the United Nations Security Council. He expressed joy over the Joint Statement signed between India and the UAE that would enhance this between both the nations strategically as well as economically.

Modi's Visit to UAE, first in 34 years since Indira Gandhi's Visit in 1981, is definitely going to lift the bilateral trade that currently stands at $59 billion, attract investment into infrastructure projects at home and connect with the large Indian community that makes up nearly 30 per cent of UAE's population and sends millions of dollars back in remittances each year.
 

Some of the Key Achievements from UAE visit are as follows-
 
1) Inviting investors from UAE to invest $1 trillion.
  
2) Modi's visit to a labour camp in Abu Dhabi to highlight New Delhi's concern about the welfare of its migrant workers mostly Indians. 
 
3) The Indian Prime Minister;s tour to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and his announcement shortly after that UAE government would grant land in the capital to build a Hindu temple.
 
4) PM Modi's discussion with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on key issues of security and trade even as the two sides looked at elevating the ties to the strategic level.
 
5) Modi's pitch to the UAE to strike close partnership between both the nations to counter terrorism amid the cloud of Islamic State terror in the region.
  
6)Mumbai Serial bomb blasts accused Dawood Ibrahim's case said to be discussed with UAE officials , Indian urged them to seize all benaami and other properties registered in the name of Dawood. As per india today reports, all the required documents are being take along by NSA Ajit Doval
 
7) India's engagement with Abu Dhabi, one of the richest sovereign wealth funds in the world, to invest in India as well as expand cooperation in the energy sector. Abu Dhabi accounts for 9 per cent of India's energy needs and India wants to increase that.
