Farooq Abdullah Congratulates PM Modi for his firm stand on Pakistan

National Conference Leader and Patron, Farooq Abdullah Congratulated PM Modi for his firm stand against Pakistan in an interview with hindustantimes.com.

This statement should boost the morale of the central government considering Valley Veteran experiences in Valley Politics at the time when the NSA level dialogue between India and Pakistan hangs in balance.

Talking about the creation of separatist alliance like Hurriyat conference and Pakistan's growing demand of meeting them during NSA level talk , NC patron Said

"The Hurriyat Conference has been a creation of Pakistan, but in it also there is a division. Pakistan continues to fund them and so does India, which is now clear after the book by former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief AS Dulat.

He Further Adds "Except for them (Hurriyat leaders), no mainstream party will speak to Pakistan. It uses the Hurriyat and separatist leaders such as Asiya Andrabi to keep its flag flying in the Valley, showing them as representatives of Kashmir"

Dr. Abdullah also advised the Indian government to recognise parties who stand for India in the Valley. They should be given preferential treatment as they support India. He feels that since PM Modi is in full control of power, Indian government can show it to the Pakistan and the World that Hurriyat has no standings

Talking about Pakistani  Army's Interference, Former Union Minister Said "When the two countries agreed to hold talks in Ufa, it was made clear that they will be about terrorism. I think it’s the army in Pakistan, which for its own relevance, is insisting that talks be held with the Hurriyat"

77 year Old Former J & K Chief Minister further added

"The real power is with the army, which has killed many important leaders in the past, including Benazir Bhutto. It’s the army and not the civilian government that will give permission to any leader to travel outside the country and it put the conditions for it"
