Maruti Suzuki has launched its highly anticipated S-Cross at Rs. 8.34 lacs, ex-showroom Delhi. The S Cross is the first premium crossover of the country. It has a superior blend of power, comfort and luxury.
All-new platform built, the car offers a choice between a 1.3 and a 1.6 liter DDiS engine with no petrol variant, the only vehicle in the Maruti Suzuki's lineup to not have a petrol engine.
The 1.3-liter motor produces 90 BHP along with a more effective 1.6-liter DDiS engine that delivers 120 BHP of power and a whopping 320NM of torque, capable of 0 - 100Km/h 11.3 sec, which makes it all the more intense than its adversaries.
Along with an aggressive body outside, Maruti has made sure that the S Cross feels premium on the inside as well. The car is bestowed with features like touchscreen multimedia and navigation system, rear parking camera, automatic climate control, leather seats, engine start/stop button, steering mounted controls and cruise control.

“We currently have a market share of 45 per cent in
the passenger vehicles segment. Still, 55 per cent of market is not with us.
With the launch of this vehicle, we hope to further increase our market share,” He further told reporters.
“Our target is to sell around 3,000-4,000 units of
the S-Cross per month,” he said, adding that the company has already received
over 30,000 inquiries and 6,000 bookings of the S-Cross.
The S Cross is the most recent crossover entering the Indian market and will compete against the newly launched Hyundai Creta, along with Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano, Tata Safari Storme and Mahindra Scorpio. The car will be sold exclusively in Maruti Suzuki's new premium Nexa showrooms.MSI has 35 Nexa outlets
operational today across 23 cities. They plan to have 100 showrooms across 30
cities by end of this fiscal.
