Smartphone industry is going through a dynamic phase of innovation and renovation. Slim Smartphones were rarely seen earlier but New Phones being launched are claimed to be more slimmer and one brand even claimed to have it slimmest ever. Yes being slender and svelte may be the way to the
consumer's pocket is what Smart phone brands are thinking these days. Smartphones now shedding its weight to catch fancy of new demanding set of consumers.

Last week, Indian smartphone maker Micromax put out a full-page ad in The Times of India claiming that its Canvas Sliver 5 smartphone is the 'Slimmest Ever". Till now this was a space lead by Renowned Chinese brand GIONEE but now it seems they have got some competition from Micromax India.

As Reported by indianexpress.com;Micromax, the only Indian company that in the top 10 global list of handset makers, has announced the launch of its new flagship, the Canvas Sliver 5, which is claims is the thinnest and lightest phone in the world. While there are other phones that are thinner.
Micromax claims there is no other phone that is 5.1mm thin end-to-end, devoid of camera bumps. And the 95gram weight of the phone also makes it the lightest in the phone.

As Reported by indianexpress.com,While Micromax CEO Vineet Taneja said every component of the phone was being streamlined to be thinner and to save battery life, the phone has a slightly expensive price tag of Rs 17,999 which might work against it. Taneja said the 4.8-inch AMOLED screen with an integrated touch panel and the ultra thin PCB lets it make the phone much slimmer then normal. The phone also uses aircraft grade aluminum for the frame, which makes it lighter.

when its S5.1 made its way to the Guinness World Records for being the
